RESPECTED boxing writer Atty. Ed Tolentino, one of the country?s credible boxing historians reiterates there is nothing wrong in recognizing Manny Pacquiao a four-time world champion.
Some Filipino boxing fans are still perplexed and want Pacquiao to be recognized as a five-time champion owing to his smashing victory over Marco Antonio Barrera November of 2003.
Tolentino said that at the end of the day records will show that Pacquiao won four: WBC flyweight, IBF super bantamweight, WBC super featherweight and WBC lightweight.
Despite the opinion of Tolentino each and every listener who texted ?Sports Chat? Wednesday morning agree Pacquiao is indeed the greatest Filipino boxing champion, bar none.
