FightFan.com caught up with the always exciting Rocky Juarez to get his thoughts on Saturday’s rematch between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez. Only on FightFan.com!
FF: Rocky thanks for checking in with the FightFans at FightFan.com. Can you give us your thoughts on the rematch between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez?
RJ: Well I think Marquez can win if he fights the fight of his life, but I think Pacquiao will bring it the way he brought it in their first fight. Marquez hasn?t gotten any younger you know. I think Pacquiao will win by decision.
FF: Marquez has fought a bit more aggressively in the last few years. If he does fight Pacquiao aggressively, could that be playing into Pacman?s strength?
RJ: Not exactly. Pacquiao is the type of fighter that you need to counter against and attack. If Marquez attacks, you never know he could catch Pacquiao.
FF: You?ll no doubt be watching this fight closely. I know you have got a fight coming up, but is fighting the winner of this fight something that would interest you?
RJ: Oh definitely. We already have a fight scheduled for May 31 against Jorge Barrios. We?re not looking past Barrios, but if anything comes up, hey. I?m here in Vegas to watch the Pacquiao Marquez fight and I?m hoping that may lead to me getting a shot at the winner.
FF: Tell us a bit about the Barrios fight. That?s a great style match up for you and the fans. Are you excited to be getting back in the ring?
RJ: Definitely man. Barrios is the type of fighter who is a true fighter. He?s all heart and guts. He comes to fight and I?m excited knowing that this will be a good back and forth fight.
FF: Barrios comes to fight and I think that suits you and your style?
RJ: It will be a great fight. I feel I have an advantage in that I can box. I?m younger and hungry and I have to be in top shape. I know this is a make or break fight and I?m looking forward to it. Barrios is a helluva fighter but I will be ready May 31.
