Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao set records when they shared the ring at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in 2015. While the fight did not deliver as fans had hoped, it still went down as the highest-grossing pay-per-view in history.
A decade later, the pair look set to reignite their rivalry in a rematch. Talks are reportedly underway for Mayweather vs Pacquiao 2 to take place on Netflix in 2026. The streaming giant first entered the boxing realm with Jake Paul’s controversial clash with Mike Tyson.
This is far from the first time that a rematch has been discussed, and the UFC boss was once among those hoping to be involved.

Having not been involved in boxing promotion since Conor McGregor’s crossover fight with Mayweather, White suggested Zuffa Boxing could have a part to play in a rematch between ‘Money’ and Pacquiao while speaking to Aaron Bronsteter for TSN in 2020.
“I think that the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight will probably happen again and it makes sense,” White said.
“Especially the way Manny Pacquiao has looked in his last couple of fights. That’s something that could happen.
“I truly believe we would add a ton of value to that fight,” he continued. “So anything is possible.”

Speaking at a recent press conference held by the legendary Filipino boxer, the Director of the IBA Pro Series offered to attach a world title to Mayweather vs Pacquiao 2.
“If Mayweather will agree and Manny would like that fight, we’ll put that at IBA and we’ll put IBA world title on the line,” Al Siesta said.
That suggestion was soon welcomed by Pacquiao, who fell short of a title when his comeback fight ended in a draw this past summer.
“So, it’s possible I’m going to fight for a world championship in IBA,” he replied.
“I can be the first world champion in the IBA.”
