Filipino KO king Ranee Ganoy goes into his April 18 showdown with former IBF lightweight champ Julio Diaz full of confidence that he can score the biggest win of his career. Trainer Hermie Bohol said that everything for this fight has been perfect. “We have had plenty of time to prepare (two months) which is a luxury not usually afforded to us. “Ranee knows that a KO win over Julio will get the boxing world?s attention especially after his devastating KO of Robbie Peden last year. “Ranee has one focus and that is to become champion of the world and follow on in his fellow countryman Manny Pacquiao?s footsteps.?? Promoter Angelo Di Carlo, who took control of Ranee?s career and has guided him through the last two years, said he was proud of what Ranee has achieved. “I have every bit of confidence in his ability to defeat Julio,?? he said. “We know its not going to be an easy fight, by the same token we know it is a very winnable match-up. “Julio likes to come forward and it will only take a round or two for Julio to realize that he?s going to have to fight this one of the back foot or risk walking onto one of Ranee?s power shots. “When he feels the power he will lose his height and reach advantage.
