Juan Manuel Marquez looking to take Pacman apart!

Taken from his recent media conference, Juan Manuel Marquez discusses his thoughts on Manny Pacquiao and their eagerly anticipated rematch set for this Saturday in Las Vegas, Nevada.

?The only thing that we are cautious of (and working on) is Manny Pacquiao?s left hand. I know Pacquiao ?s left hand is like a bullet. It?s very powerful and very fast. Also, we are aware of his right and left hooks. He has become a better fighter and he has a great trainer. Those are little details that we have worked on in this camp.?

?Pacquiao is a very fast and very quick fighter. He is also very strong. He is a big puncher, and that is all I have to worry about. I?m prepared and ready for that. I have done a good job conditioning myself in the gym. I believe I will win. I will give everything I have when I come face to face with Pacquiao.?

. Juan Manuel Marquez is one of the top fighters in the sport of boxing. His pure boxing skills are unparalleled, and he is a textbook tactician. He will rely on those traits heavily this weekend as he looks to step in the ring with Manny Pacquiao for a second time. In their first encounter Marquez tasted the canvass three times in the first three minutes, but gallently got up to fight eleven more rounds on route to a spirited draw. This weekend he will look to put on a similar display (minus the knock downs) on course to out-boxing one of the sport?s hottest fighters in Manny Pacquiao.

Last week, Marquez spoke out for the first time after a rigorous training camp:

?I was pretty confident (going in to) our first that fight. I was connecting well in the first round. I thought it was going to be an easy fight. But whoa, I got a surprise and found that it wasn?t going to be so easy. (Pacquiao) got me with three great punches. I went down three times, but I got up. I got up because of the great condition that I was in at that time. But also because I was defending two titles. It cost me a lot to win those two titles. I wasn?t willing to let my titles be lost in three minutes. So that?s why I got up. I got back up because of my great heart, and also because of my people. All of that great support that I was having that night pushed me on.?

?I can tell you that people are going to see a great fight. This rematch is going to be a great fight. I?m going to leave everything in the ring. And obviously, I will not be overconfident as I was early in our first fight. I?m going to be around from the opening bell all the way to the end bell. No matter how it ends I will be alert and giving it my all. Everything I have will be left in the ring and I promise you, I won?t disappoint you guys. It?s going to be a great fight.?

?I have made some adjustments (for this fight). I had to. It?s been four years since our first fight and Manny Pacquiao has become better. I have become better. I?m a better boxer now, and a better fighter. This will be a totally different fight.?

?The only thing that we are cautious of (and working on) is Manny Pacquiao?s left hand. I know Pacquiao ?s left hand is like a bullet. It?s very powerful and very fast. Also, we are aware of his right and left hooks. He has become a better fighter and he has a great trainer. Those are little details that we have worked on in this camp.?

?My age won?t be an issue in the fight. I can tell you right now that I feel better than ever. I feel very strong and I have prepared very well for this fight. For me the timing of this fight is perfect, it?s happening at just the right time. I didn?t want to fight him any sooner, and now everything is falling in to place. This is the correct time. That is my feeling now.?

?I?m a better fighter (than Manny Pacquiao). I?m a more technical fighter and in better condition. I feel I proved it in the first fight.?

?Pacquiao is a very fast and very quick fighter. He is also very strong. He is a big puncher, and that is all I have to worry about. I?m prepared and ready for that. I have done a good job conditioning myself in the gym. I believe I will win. I will give everything I have when I come face to face with Pacquiao.?

?My pride and motivation will certainly outweigh the pressure in this fight. I know that Manny Pacquiao is a great fighter and has defeated many great fighters. It is a big responsibility for me taking this fight. I know that I can beat Manny Pacquiao and I want to come back home with my belt.?
