MANILA, Philippines — The more you read reports on Manny Pacquiao?s next big fight, the more you are convinced our superhero is no longer going to Las Vegas for a boxing bout.
Thanks to the overwhelming predictions, it now appears Pacquiao will be going to the glittering fun capital to preside over an execution.
No kidding. There?s hardly a day in our sports pages when it?s not proposed, glowingly of course, that Pacquiao will either annihilate or overrun Juan Manuel Marquez who, by the way, is the reigning World Boxing Council super featherweight king.
It?s almost a blasphemy how these self-styled prophets would picture Marquez, maybe Mexico?s finest and greatest warrior today, as a waiting victim ready to be blown to bits in his March 15 rematch with Pacquiao.

You see executions are done in dungeons, in strict official privacy, but it should be real fun if these partisan predictions would be proven right in public.
A resounding Pacquiao win would no doubt help boost the dwindled stock of his favorite First Couple, Mr. and Mrs. Jose Miguel Arroyo, easily the most-hated pair in our poor motherland.
However, a win is a win, and at no time in our history do we need a big lifting victory than today, when we continue to be slammed to the floor by galloping corruption in government, coupled with murderous rights violations.
This said, poor Pacman is left with no choice but to go all out for a resounding win.
