Roy Jones Jr. Sounds Like a Desperate Man, Is Calling Out Manny Pacquiao Next?

I don’t understand it.

I do but I don’t.

In the recent weeks, I’ve heard everyone from Osama Bin Laden to Homer Simpson attempting to “call out” Oscar De la Hoya. Apparently everybody wants a piece of the multi-million dollar pie.

In breaking news today… former pound-for-pound king, Roy Jones Jr. has called out the “Golden Boy” at a catch-weight of 156 pounds.

My only question is… who will be sharing the crack-pipe with Roy in his quest to make a weight that’s virtually impossible for him to ever see again baring any significant amputations?

Perhaps Mr. Pensacola is having issues with his ARM (adjustable rate mortgage) as is the rest of the country and desperately needs a quick payday in order to keep his credit in line. If there’s any other reason for Jones to waste his time calling out Oscar, it’s probably just to make sure nobody has forgotten about him.

Wait.

Roy just fought this past weekend so I heard and shouldn’t need to name drop in order put himself back on the map. Remember people, Roy doesn’t need to call out anybody… people need to call out Roy.

Don’t believe me? He said so himself.

How far the great have fallen and one can only imagine what’s next… Hatton at 149? Pacquiao at 145?

Sometimes watching people act crazy later in their careers can be downright sad but in this case it’s pure fun and amusement Disneyland/Circus style.

PS. Perhaps names like Tarver and Johnson don’t allow Roy to get “up” for their fights. Who’d want to get up from those two vicious knockout losses anyhow?
