Ernesto Castellano, top notch boxing writer for Mexican news source Esto, reports that former three division world champion Marco Antonio Barrera is picking fellow Aztec Juan Manuel Marquez over Manny Pacquiao this March 15.
Barrera, who suffered two losses against Pacquiao and one against Marquez during his illustrious career, provided the following statements to Castellano…
“I am definitely with Marquez. I think he will win. I am not saying this because we are both Mexicans, I say this because in terms of boxing, I am convinced this will happen.”
Barrera, promoted by Golden Boy Promotions, has been rumored to return to the ring during 2008 for a farewell bout.
