Before the Oct. 1 deadline for filing to participate in the national election, Pacquiao, 42, seeks to clinch his storied boxing career by taking on what many consider the world’s most talented welterweight, unbeaten two-belt champion Errol Spence Jr.
Already standing as an unprecedented eight-division world champion who has defeated Oscar De La Hoya, four-division champion Miguel Cotto and then-unbeaten champion Keith Thurman in his most recent bout, Pacquiao (62-7-2, 39 KOs) gives up 11 years of age, four inches of height and five inches of reach to Texas’ Spence (27-0, 21 KOs).
