Tyson Fury has named Deontay Wilder, Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte as the fighters he intends to face in the final three bouts on his current contract.
The ‘lineal’ heavyweight champion already has his rematch with Wilder locked in for February 22 in Las Vegas, and after that will be left with two fights on his deal with Bob Arum’s Top Rank/ESPN.
It’s known that the loser of Wilder vs Fury II will have the option to force a third fight, however the ‘Gypsy King’ is adamant his opponent won’t want to face him again.
This would leave him open to take on his fellow British heavyweight rivals.
Fury told iFL TV: “I’ve got three more fights left.
“Wilder next, Joshua, then Dillian Whyte. Then I’m out.”
Should Fury claim the WBC crown from Wilder, an all-British undisputed clash with Joshua would be historic.
Assuming he would emerge victorious, Fury intends to then take on the man who would be his mandatory challenger.
Regarding Whyte, Fury said: “He’s been mandatory for, how many days did he say? 2000 days?
“2000 days and he hasn’t had a world title shot.
“So when I beat Wilder I’ll give him a shot.
“He deserves a shot, he’s a high ranked contender who hasn’t had a shot at a world title.
“Seems to me everybody else has but him, so when I beat Wilder I’ll give him a shot.
“He can be a defence for sure. One of my last three. Joshua and Whyte, done.”
