Sean Gibbons relayed Manny Pacquiao?s message to Floyd Mayweather straight during a chance encounter in Las Vegas recently.
?I told him Sen. Pacquiao is not fighting an exhibition,? said Gibbons on Saturday.
Mayweather came out on social media a few weeks ago and dangled an offer for Pacquiao to fight an exhibition in Tokyo.
?Floyd told me that what the Senator?s going to do is just move around the ring and I told him the Senator?s not doing that as he is coming off one of his biggest wins (against Keith Thurman),? said Gibbons.
Pacquiao is looking at a ring return in mid-March possibly against Mikee Garcia but is not closing door on a Mayweather rematch given the immense revenue that can be drawn.
On New Year?s Eve 2018, Mayweather fought an undersized Japanese kickboxer and knocked him out in less than a round.
Gibbons, who represents the vast majority of world-ranked Filipino boxers, swears Pacquiao isn?t into that circus-type of thing.
?By December, or before the Senator?s 41st (birthday on Dec. 17), we would already know what?s down the road,? said Gibbons, who heads MP Promotions, an outfit that has under its wings the likes of world champions Jerwin Ancajas and Pedro Taduran and interim world titlist John Riel Casimero.
