BLOODED Tyson Fury beat tough Otto Wallin on points despite suffering a gruesome two-inch gash above his right eye in Las Vegas.
The Gypsy King, 31, had his eyebrow split open by a clean left hook from the Swede at the end of the third round.
But Fury survived and took the fight with a unanimous decision.
After coming out to a Mexican-themed ring walk, complete with a poncho and Mariachi band, the first couple of rounds were pretty even.
But Wallin opened a huge gash over Fury’s eye – the first time the Gypsy King has been cut since 2010.
Fury’s coach Ben Davison had to be told during the fifth round in a live ringside interview that the cut was as a result of a clean punch – and not a clash of heads as the trainer thought.
Wallin cheekily took a scrape with the glove against the cut as Fury’s cut man struggled to close it.
But despite the cut, Fury bravely kept himself in the fight, battling back and dominating the later rounds.
It went the distance with the blood pouring down Fury’s face all the way until the end of a thrilling 12th round as underdog Wallin kept himself in it.
And the judges all gave the fight to Fury, who took the later rounds.
