It sounds like Manny Pacquiao isn?t going to fight again until 2020. After impressively beating Keith Thurman by split decision on Saturday night, Pacquiao returned to the Philippines to continue to fulfill his obligations as a senator, and he most likely won?t return to the ring until after he turns 41 in December.
But he almost certainly will return, and names like Errol Spence, Terence Crawford and, gulp, Floyd Mayweather Jr. have been bandied about as possible opponents in the few days after Pacquiao?s landmark win. Now, BetOnline has released odds for nine potential Pacquiao opponents.
Spence, who will face Shawn Porter in September, is the betting favorite at 2/3 to land a bout vs. Pacquiao. Crawford has longer odds, and the sports book isn?t at all confident in a Mayweather rematch. But even MMA star Conor McGregor, who was knocked out by Mayweather in 2017 in his boxing debut and seemingly has made no plans to return to the sport of boxing, made the list.
