Unbeaten American Keith Thurman has continued his war of words with Manny Pacquiao with less than three weeks to go before their much-anticipated clash in Las Vegas. Thurman (29-0-0, 22 KOs) is expected to present the Philippines icon with one of his toughest fights to date and the Florida native maintained his trash talking as their WBA super welterweight showdown draws nearer. The fight will take place at the MGM Grand on July 20. In an interview with Fight Hub TV, an animated Thurman said the eight-times division world champion (61-7-2, 39 KOs) didn?t do a ?goddamn thing? in his controversial loss to Australia?s Jeff Horn during their bout in July 2017. Thurman brought up the subject of one of Pacquiao?s worst career losses and couldn?t help having another dig at his rival.
A lot of Pacquiao fans thought the fighting senator from Sarangani did enough to win the fight in Brisbane, but judges saw it another way and gave victory to the former schoolteacher in a massive upset. ?[I thought] it was a draw. What did he [Pacquiao] do? Round-by-round, what did he do? 12 rounds! He didn?t have him out ? in one round [he had him hurt], can you count? Fool can you count?? he asks Fight Hub TV reporter Marcos Villegas.

When he was standing straight up, he was right here on Manny Pacquiao. He was right here on Manny Pacquiao ? right here! And you?re telling me Manny did something? No, he didn?t! Those hands didn?t touch!? Thurman said after watching the Pacquiao-Horn fight he gave ?Pacman? the nickname ?T-Rex Arms? because of his shorter reach, an insult that has upset Pacquiao.
The 30-year-old American, who defeated Josesito Lopez in January in his last fight after shaking off 22 months of ring rust, is confident of toppling Pacquiao. ?I know I made a big one: ?Retire Many Pacquiao.? But at the end of the day, you?ll see what happens, when the fight happens.?
Last month, Thurman angered the devout Christian by saying he was going to ?crucify? Pacquiao. The Filipino superstar later insisted his insulting words was motivation to knock Thurman out.
Thurman will need more than fighting words to defeat Pacquiao, who has now been installed as the favourite for the fight after more money piled in for the much-loved fighter.
The 40-year-old Filipino superstar was the 2.1 underdog just last week but has now moved into 1.8 favouritism. Thurman has drifted in odds to become the 1.95 underdog.
