Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach said Manny Pacquiao’s footwork will be the key factor in beating Mexican boxing legend Marco Antonio Barrera.
Roach is confident that Pacquiao will win in his rematch against the Mexican if the Filipino pug banks on his balance and footwork.
The prize-winning coach said that while Pacquiao has been rigorously training to improve his defense and game plan, his footwork remains to be the winning factor against Barrera.
Roach said that Barrera is a little slow on his feet compared to Filipino?s quick footwork.
Mexican sparring partners Rey Beltran and David Rodela, meanwhile, said Pacquiao is in good condition and already 90-percent ready for the fight.
With two more weeks of training in Cebu before flying off to Los Angeles, California, the Filipino lefty spent Saturday with young fans in Cebu.
Some 43 elementary students from Fun and Learn Achievers Academy Inc. got the chance to watch and sing with their boxing idol whom they dubbed as “the Filipino Champion.”
