MANILA, Philippines ? Former world champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. is back in Manila after a brief vacation in Boracay.
Wearing a “The Money Team” cap that had the Philippine flag motif, Mayweather hopped off his private jet on Tuesday afternoon and immediately professed his love for the island.
“The Philippines is a great place, and I look forward to coming back,” said Mayweather.
This is the second time that Mayweather had visited the country; he also vacationed in the Philippines in May 2018.
“I’m very, very thankful,” said the controversial American boxer. “Manny Pacquiao is a true champion, a future Hall of Famer, a hell of a fighter. I wish him nothing but the best.”
Mayweather had beaten Pacquiao when they fought in May 2015, in what became the most lucrative bout in the history of the sport.
The American is now headed to Resorts World.
