Corolla, 32, was on the losing end of a one-sided contest with Lomachenko utterly dominating the Brit from the get-go.
Lomachenko managed to force a standing count in the third round before Crolla managed to get up.
But, the Manc was finally beaten by a solid punch to the temple just under a minute into the fourth round.
Following the fight Lomachenko made it clear who he wanted to take on next.
He said: ?I want Mikey Garcia, but I want to unify titles. That?s my goal. I want historic fights.?
Brits took to Twitter to praise Crolla and Lomachenko, with many saying the Mancunian should ?hold his head high?.
One fan tweeted: ?Heartbreaking seeing Anthony Crolla in that way. He did Manchester and England proud as always.?
