POSTFIGHT: Anthony Joshua knocked out Dominic Breazeale in the seventh round. Deontay Wilder did it in the first round. And it was ridiculously impressive.
First round: Both are throwing jabs and nothing much is happening. Nice left to the body by Wilder. He tries for the right, but Breazeale blocked it with his glove. But Wilder is definitely throwing bombs. Huge right and now Breazeale is hurt. Back ed in the corer, and the Breazaele lands a big right and backs up Wilder. Both have been a little buzzed already. Huge right and Breazeale collapses. He tries to get up and he doesn’t beat the count. It is over.
Deontay Wilder ring walk: Before Wilder appears, these dancers who look like they’re double- or triple-jointed are doing crazy things with their elbows and shoulders. A buddy of mine said they might from America’s Most Talented. I don’t know. Now, Wilder walks to the ring dressed in what looks like a combination of catcher’s gear and battle armor. He looks rather intimidating.
Dominic Breazeale ring walk: He’s walking to the ring with a scowl on his face. Looks like he means business. Oh, now he’s dancing a little. He looks a little more relaxed. I don’t know. Maybe none of this means anything.
