A YOUNG boxer who was part of the Conor McGregor camp has revealed what REALLY happened when Paulie Malignaggi came in for sparring.
The retired Brooklyn boxer flew in from the US to join up with McGregor in preparation for The Notorious? Las Vegas mega-fight against Floyd Mayweather.
But just days later Malignaggi was back on a plane home after quitting the camp, believing he had been ?set up?.
The 36-year-old was furious with a series of photos that were released on social media that appeared to show him knocked down to the canvas.
While in other snaps McGregor stands looking as though he is on easy street with his hands behind his back.
Malignaggi took to social media to deny he was knocked down, saying that it was as a result of ?a push?, and went on to say that he ?beat his a**? and that McGregor ?whimpers like a girl? with body shots.
But according to Irish amateur boxer Tiernan Bradley, things were not quite as Malignaggi has claimed.
In an exclusive piece for the Irish News, Bradley wrote: ?Conor stayed very professional; Paulie was saying stuff and then getting hit. Conor chose his moments to talk back.
?There are tactics to mental warfare too, knowing when to talk, and then there?s stupidity.
?It wasn?t a one-sided spar either way but I thought one was the clear winner overall and that was Conor. He was very calm, very professional and, honestly, he really impressed me on the day.?
Malignaggi has taken to Twitter to ask the world of social media to ?make their own minds up? when the footage is released.
But according to Bradley, he might not be too happy when he sees what went down.
He added: ?Paulie has done plenty of talking, but he could be talking himself into a hole when the footage comes out after the Mayweather fight.
?When you?re in sparring, sometimes you think you?re doing better than you are, but watching back afterwards can reveal the true nature of the spar.?

Floyd Mayweather has opened up on his realistic chances against UFC champion Conor McGregor, as boxing?s biggest fight in history approaches.
Despite trash-talking his way through the entirety of his four-day media tour with the Irishman, the 49-0 legend has made a jaw-dropping admission barely two weeks from stepping in the ring.
It?s not often fighters show weakness before a bout, but it appears Floyd has finally come to terms with a crushing truth hanging over his head.
Mayweather admitted, somewhat begrudgingly, that his physicality isn?t up to scratch against McGregor?s and confessed his time off from the ring has seriously dented his overall form as a boxer.
?He?s a lot younger,? the 40-year-old told ESPN.
?When you look at myself and Conor McGregor on paper, he?s taller, has a longer reach, he?s a bigger man from top to bottom. He?s a lot younger, so youth is on his side.
?And I?ve been off a couple of years. And I?m in my 40s. So, if you look at everything on paper, it leans toward Conor McGregor.?
