FightFan.com caught up with pound-for-pound terror Manny Pacquiao live on location at the WildCard gym and put him under the gun with a segment we like to call “Rapid Fire”. WATCH what Manny had to say about his childhood heroes, his toughest fight to date, his favourite food, and more!
FF: We’ve got a thing we do called “Rapid Fire” where we throw five really quick questions at you. First question: Who has been your toughest fight to date?
MP: All fights are tough if you don’t train hard. But my toughest fight is probably the Barrera fight and the Marquez fight.
FF: Who were your heroes growing up? Did you have any boxing heroes when you were growing up?
MP: I had a lot of idols growing up in boxing. There was Oscar De La Hoya, and all the heavyweight champions.
FF: What’s your favorite Filipino food dish? What would you recommend?
MP: Number one? Umm, Kare-kare. And ummmm… Nilagang Baka.
FF: I’ll have to remember that. I’ve had Lumpia and it was quite good.
MP: Yea, Lumpia is good.
FF: Who punches harder? Barrera or Morales?
MP: They’re about the same. Both hard punchers, very similar.
FF: Last question, tell us something about Manny Pacquiao the fans don’t know. What would people be surprised to know about you?
MP: Maybe just that I’m a friendly man outside the ring. Nice to everyone and all the people. I’m a good friend.
FF: It comes across that way. Thanks for taking the time to talk with FightFan.com Manny!
