LAS VEGAS — A variety of camp members have joined Floyd Mayweather in trash-talking opponents over the years, though adviser Leonard Ellerbe usually is the exception.
That changed on the eve of Saturday’s Oscar De La Hoya-Mayweather fight.
“This fight is Floyd Mayweather vs. Arturo Gatti all over again,” Ellerbe said. “Mark my words. It wouldn’t surprise me, early, if this guy has to come up off the canvas. I’m telling you, before it happens, Mayweather-Gatti all over again.”
