Manny Pacquiao insists he’s ready for July bout with Jeff Horn as he steps up preparations with gym workout video

Manny Pacquiao may be approaching the age of 39, but he still appears to be in incredible shape as he prepares for his 68th professional fight.

The Filipino fighter, also known as Pac Man, will get into the ring with unknown Australian Jeff Horn in Brisbane at the start of July.

Pacquaio has been preparing for his fight with daily gym workouts, and he posted a video of himself doing sideways sit-ups on Sunday night.

In the clip, he pretends to punch the camera and alongside the post he wrote: ‘I’m ready for July 2.’

He has been training in his native Philippines for the last few weeks, regularly sharing images and videos from his training camp.

July’s bout will be the first time Pacquiao has stepped into the ring in Australia, and he admits he is not underestimating his younger opponent.

‘He is a good boxer and very aggressive. A strong fighter,’ Pacquiao told the Courier Mail.

‘I am working on speed and a strong body for the fight but my quickness will help me beat him.’

Horn used to be a school teacher in Australia before trying his hand at boxing full-time, and he has an unbeaten professional record of 16 wins and one draw.

He previously represented Australia at the London 2012 Olympics when he fought in the light welterweight division, eventually getting knocked out in the quarter-finals.
