Brook vs Spence prediction: “First four rounds will dictate everything”

IBF Welterweight Champion Kell Brook (36-1, 25 KOs) will face sensational mandatory challenger Errol Spence (21-0, 18 KO?s) on Saturday in one of the year’s biggest match-ups.

So, who are you picking?

Interestingly, Errol Spence, the sight underdog when this fight was announced, is now the clear favorite across the board to defeat Brook.

Last night on FightSaga Radio, Joseph Herron and veteran fight trainer James Gogue analyzed Brook vs Spence and detailed keys to victory for both combatants.

“The first four rounds will dictate everything and how it’s gonna play out,” Trainer Gogue forecasts.

“If Kell Brook cannot hurt him right off the bat ….”

“See Errol Spence is a bully, like Gennady Golovkin. What do bullies do on the schoolyard? They take your lunch money. And that’s what Spence wants to do. He’s gonna wanna be the schoolyard bully and look to take Brook’s lunch money.”

“What do you do to a bully?”

“You get their attention and punch him in the mouth. You hurt them to get that respect and put some fear in them.”

“If Kell can’t do that, Joe”….

“Just like when Gennady Golovkin felt his [Brook’s] power and was like ‘oh jeez’,’ I’m not even gonna use my defense or move my head. I’m just gonna walk him down… He can’t hurt me.”

“Spence has that ferocity in him, like a Mike Tyson or Roberto Duran. He’s gonna turn that heat up,” Gogue envisioned.

“If Brook doesn’t hurt him [early] with that right hand [sigh], as the fight goes on Spence is gonna break him down.”

“The biggest weakness I see in Kell Brook is he has no inside game..”

Kell Brook vs. Errol Spence is slated to be broadcast this Saturday, May 27, at 5:15 PM ET on Showtime Sports.
