JEFF Horn is now ranked in the world?s top 10 fighters pound for pound, an astonishing performance for a veteran of just 18 fights.
And the influential boxrec.com website now also lists the new WBO welterweight champion as the top fighter in his weight class (66.7kg) ahead of unbeaten rival titleholders Keith Thurman (WBC and WBA) and Errol Spence Jr (IBF).
Horn said it was ?a great honour?? and ?an amazing feeling??.
For the first time in many years, Manny Pacquiao has dropped out of the top 10 list and is now ranked No.11 pound for pound and No.3 at welterweight.
Horn overpowered the 38-year-old Filipino senator for a close 12-round decision that left both men bloodied and bruised.
According to boxrec, middleweight Saul ?Canelo?? Alvarez is the world?s best fighter in any weight division followed by Andre Ward, Terence Crawford, Vasyl Lomachenko, Gennady Golovkin, Anthony Joshua, Shinsuke Yamanaka and Horn.
The new world champ revealed that during Sunday?s fight, Pacquiao kept talking to him saying ?break, break?? in the clinches.
?I don?t know if it was to unsettle me or what,?? Horn said. ?I listened to him the first time before I said to myself ?hey Pacquiao?s not the referee, he shouldn?t be giving me orders?.??
