STABLEMATES Renoel Pael and Marco Demecillo take on the fast-rising Moloney brothers in a couple of eight-rounders on Feb. 3 at the Adelaide Oval in North Adelaide, Australia.
Pael takes on Andrew Moloney, while Demecillo faces off with Jason Moloney.
?They are well prepared for their fights,? Pael and Demecillo?s trainer Brix Flores told Sun.Star Cebu.
Pael has had a roller-coaster year in 2016 and ended the year with back-to-back losses in Japan against Go Onaga and Suguru Muranaka by unanimous decision. He bounced back by ending 2016 with two straight stoppage wins against Rogen Flores and Jherom Tuyor.
Like Pael, Demecillo also had a similar year in which he went 2-2. He lost to Jeo Santisima and Russian Valery Tretyakov, and won against journeymen Roger Echavez and Marvin Tampus.
?If they just don?t stop punching, then there?s a huge chance of an upset,? said Flores.
Andrew, rated No. 13 bantamweight by the World Boxing Association, was very busy in 2016, winning all six of his fights. That streak included wins over Filipino pugs Chris Alfante, Markquil Salvana and former world title challenger Jether Oliva.
Jason, Andrew?s twin, also won all six of his fights last year. He owns wins over Jeffrey Francisco, Virden Rivera and Gerpaul Valero. Jason is ranked No. 11 by the WBA in the super bantamweight division.
Pael is 21-4-1 with 11 knockouts, while Andrew is 11-0 with seven knockouts. Demecillo is 22-6-1 with 17 knockouts, while Jason is 11-0 with 10 knockouts.
