Just like clockwork, the ones who were supposed to lose lost and the ones who were supposed to win won.
Most notably, Czar ?The Czar of Bhopal? Amonsot moved his record to 32-3-3 with an undefeated streak of 16 since his career altering fight (for both men) with Michael Katsidis in Las Vegas on July 21, 2007. Both warriors suffered suspected brain injuries, but the Czar has found a safe niche in Australia (where he resides) and keeps on winning.
Meanwhile, Vic Darchinyan was knocked clean out for the fourth time in recent bouts and this time he declared it was the ?first time he was ever KO?d?. Unless he retires, Vic is headed for Palookaville and that?s a dangerous destination.
And speaking of Palookaville, once promising Ray Austin who does fight stiff opposition, lost again– this time to Gerald Washington. Ray has become a notch for young prospects. He needs to get out with his marbles intact.
Heavyweight Samuel ?Bruno? Amoako from Ghana has now lost 8 straight and of his 12 defeats, all but one have come outside of his home country. Maybe Bruno needs to return to Accra.. As an interesting aside, Bruno has fought 7 times so far in 2016.
Finally, Danny Green (35-5) beat Kane Watts (18-2) in August in Melbourne and just might have something left, but at age 43 the popular ?Green Machine? needs to be very selective regarding his opponents.
No surprises here unless Jeff Lacey wins in the UK in October
