Hey G! I’ve never liked OSCAR De la Hoya ever as a fighter and now that he’s a promoter I think I can’t stand him even more. The bottom line is, is that he’s one of the most greediest people out there. As if he doesn’t have enough money already that he needs to pay himself 40 million bucks for the fight against PBF. I honestly hope that no one buys the fight and De La Hoya doesn’t make as much money as he should. I just think that everyone is too busy bag licking Oscar to care or notice that he’s no better of a promoter than Arum, Don King, Goosen, or Gary Shaw. They’re all in it for the money and that’s totally understandable but a guy like Oscar should be doing something to try to give back to other fighters and the fans. And by charging 54.95 for the fight isn’t giving back. I hope that Floyd tears him up. I haven’t talked to anyone back home here that are cheering for Oscar. He’s got no real diehard fans. He’s nothing but a crossover star. Floyd may be a jerk, but I’m a huge fan of his because of what he does in the ring, not because of his smile. Oscar is a little bitch for offering kassim Ouma 50,000 bucks to fight on the undercard. That’s a disgrace. Kassim would KO Oscar and Shane on the same night. They don’t have the balls to step up to him. Kassim has real fans because he brings it no matter what the odds are. Sorry, for the rant but OSCAR infuriates me. Leon’s Response: I’m not sure if you’re a die hard Ouma fan or Oscar hater. De La Hoya-Mayweather is the biggest fight of the year by far and as a boxing fan you should be supporting it. I agree that Ouma should have been offered more than $50k to fight on the card. I’m sure his opponent wouldn’t have been as tough as Marco Antonio Rubio, whom he fought on the De La Hoya-Mayorga undercard for more than he’s been offered now. Based on that fact that his PPV numbers are three times that of any other active fighter, don’t you think it’s foolish to say Oscar has no die-hard fans. I’m sure that a large percentage of the million homes he generates on a regular basis are diehard fans. Are you not going to ante up the $54.95 to miss this fight? Not sure Kassim would KO either Oscar or Mosley if he fought them on different nights.
