FEATHERWEIGHT prospect Jerry Castroverde gets his most daunting fight to date when he takes on South African Aphiwe Mboyiya on July 22 in East London, South Africa.
?We all know that it?s always difficult when fighting abroad. Visiting fighters fighters need either to KO the hometown fighter or really dominate him. Based on Castroverde?s team, after viewing a short video of the guy, they feel confident of coming out victorious but we will never know til fight night,? Omega Pro Sports International (OPSI) vice-president Chad Ca?ares told Sun.Star Cebu.
OPSI is still waiting for the contract and also Castroverde?s visa but the fight is already locked in.
This is the 19-year-old Castroverde?s first fight outside of the country.
But despite Castroverde?s lack of experience and also fighting in South Africa, which is infamous for its unfair judging, Ca?ares is optimistic of his young ward?s chances.
