Unbeaten Jorge Solis (32-0-2, 23 KOs) was in great spirits and is predicted a knockout win over Manny Pacquiao upon arriving at San Antonio International Airport on Monday night. “I am ready to fight I have the skills and the power to knock him out. I will use my height and reach advantages. I hold the pride of Mexico in these two hands,” he stated holding up both hands. Joining Jorge was his brother, IBF junior flyweight champion Ulises “Archie” Solis.
————— “I saw him fight twice live before anybody else on a couple of our Telefutura shows and all I can see is Marquez at the beginning of his career,” says Top Rank’s Ricardo Jiminez. “He looked like Manuel Marquez. He’s a defensive specialist, real good counter-puncher, he’s a real good boxer and he can crack a little bit. They were taught by Jesus Rivera, the old professor, so they have a lot of skills they learned from a great, great master. It looks to me like they worked very hard, he looks like he’s really well prepared. I think that it will be an interesting fight.” ————— Fight fans are invited to meet Solis, along with super flyweight superstar Jorge Arce and the son of the legend Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. at an open media workout at 2PM TODAY at the Jesse James Leija Gym in San Antonio.
