AMIR KHAN claims Floyd Mayweather is making noise about returning because he is ?bitter? the spotlight is no longer on him.
Mayweather, 39, retired with an unblemished 49-fight record after defeating Andre Berto on points last September.
With attention now on Khan?s clash with WBC world middleweight champ Saul Alvarez in Las Vegas on Saturday night, Money has hinted he could make a lucrative comeback.
But Khan, 29, insists he would snub the chance to fight him ? even if he defeats Mexico?s Canelo ? after the American repeatedly overlooked him.
He said: ?I think Mayweather is a little bitter because he is walking and driving around and people are talking about this fight.
?He has probably seen the big poster at the MGM Grand with me and Canelo on it.
?People aren?t talking about him and he is missing all this. That is why he is saying these things now to try to get people talking about him again.
?I think he will box again. But he messed me around a lot so I don?t think I?d take that fight. He messed me around, so I?d probably treat him the same way.
?I was looking at the Mayweather fight, I was looking at the Manny Pacquiao fight, and they didn?t happen. I?m now fighting against Canelo where it?s a huge fight.

Mayweather is happily retired and claims it would take a staggering nine-figure offer to persuade him to pull on the gloves once again.
Khan believes the fact he is fighting Alvarez, 25, at the new T-Mobile Arena on Cinco de Mayo weekend has riled the globetrotting Vegas resident after he made the Mexican holiday his own in recent years.
The Brit added: ?This used to be his day so yeah, he must be missing it. I also remember him saying a long time ago that he wanted to be the first guy to fight at the new arena.?
The fact Mayweather?s last 12 fights were staged at the MGM has not escaped Khan now that his face is plastered all over the casino complex.
He said: ?My dream was to fight in Vegas, to see my name up in lights and to see that big poster at the MGM ? I can see it from my hotel room at the Delano.
?It is mad. I was just looking outside and they have got adverts down the sides of the MGM, on taxis, buses and even the room keys.
?This is something you dream of. There is also a huge screen outside the arena where the fight is going to happen.?
