Mayweather’s ‘draw’ comment triggers talks about Pacquiao rematch

While the three judges in the Pacquiao-Bradley fight ruled a unanimous decision win in favor of Pacquiao last Saturday at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, retired boxer Floyd Mayweather who was in the audience during the fight said the fight was a draw.

A private conversation quoted on ESPN right after the Pacquiao-Bradley fight claims that Mayweather spoke to Bradley telling him that he had the fight a draw in his own scorecard. “Go home and watch the replay with the sound off,” Mayweather is said to have told Bradley, indicating he believed the raucously pro-Pacquiao crowd had influenced the judges. Asked about his reaction to Mayweather’s draw verdict, Pacquiao said Mayweather may have a problem with his mental state. “If that is his opinion, it is right for him to retire. The typical exchange of words is reminiscent of the pre-fight build up for their first fight where they both used photo and video clips on social media that depict their strength and weaknesses.
