Las Vegas ? A day after a white male tried to hit him outside a Japanese restaurant in Hollywood, Manny Pacquiao was back in the gym doing what he does best: Punishing his sparring partner.
For four rounds, Pacquiao imposed his will on Congolese-Canadian sparmate Ghislan Maduma, who either tripped or got struck during the third round of an intense sparring session on Monday.
?Sadsad dyan sa corner,? said training assistant Roger Fernandez.
?Iba si boss ngayon kasi dati pigil pa sya sa sparring pero ngayon, todo sya,? added Fernandez.
Less than 24 hours before pummeling Maduma, Pacquiao encountered a weird incident at the parking area of the Kabuki restaurant on Vine Street in Hollywood when an unidentified man cursed him and tried to punch him.
Pacquiao?s security detail was quick to react, preventing the 30-something fellow from going near as the fighter was about to board his Ferrari 458 Italia en route to his mansion on Plymouth Blvd.
?Wrong pronunciation,? said Pacquiao, smiling. ?He was just calling my name.?
The incident, apparently triggered by his anti-LGBT remarks about same-sex marriage last month in a TV interview, was not even reported to the police.
A member of Team Pacquiao even theorized that the man was trying to provoke anyone from the fighter?s camp so he could sue if one of them ends up hurting him.
