It?s time to buckle down

The third fight with Tim Bradley next month will answer many questions regarding the fighting ability of Manny Pacquiao.

Moments after touching down in Los Angeles Saturday night (yesterday morning Manila), Pacquiao was mobbed by his supporters and even the media and the 37-year-old fighting congressman feels his April 9 clash with Bradley in Las Vegas ?will answer what?s on the people?s minds.?

Pacquiao was joined by his entire team, including Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach, who spent four weeks with his No. 1 fighter in General Santos City.

Roach was happy with the outcome of the ten-round sparring session just before they left for Manila to catch the night Philippine Airlines flight to Los Angeles.

Pacquiao and Roach will get to see each other to resume training camp on Monday, giving the fighter and the cornerman the opportunity to shake off jet lag and ease back to the local conditions in the US.

Roach said two additional sparring partners ? Gilbert Ramirez and Oscar Valdez ? have been eagerly awaiting their return.

While in the Philippines, Pacquiao worked out with Canadian-Congolese Ghislain Maduma and American Lydell Rhodes.

A Top Rank team was also at the Tom Bradley Arrival Terminal in LAX to welcome Pacquiao with top publicist Lee Samuels and chief lensman Chris Farina rolling the red carpet for the Filipino eight-division champion.

Although he was not on site, Top Rank big boss was also in Los Angeles when Pacquiao arrived.

?I want to see him and determine if he is doing good,? said the 84-year-old Arum, who has set a dinner meeting with Pacquiao on Sunday.

As for Bradley, Arum said the Palm Springs native is doing great with trainer Teddy Atlas in their camp located 100 miles from LA.
