The Elore awards, named after the late-great champion “Flash” Elorde. Presenting this prestigious award to Jason, will be none other than former Philippine President Ramos. When a 17-year old Jason interviewed this writer in regards to an essay on boxing, I was surprised. The now 22-year old is sharp and will in time be a lawyer. Right now, we, you fans should as well, congratulate the writer I dubbed, “The Pinoy.” This is history in the making I’m told, seeing Jason’s tenure and age. Attorney/agent Sydney Hall, he and Jason’s parents were instrumental in his developing into such a talent. Again, we’re so proud of you Jason!
?MANNY-MANIA? IS TAKING OVER EL LAY
Training daily at the Wild Card Gym in Hollywood, Manny Pacquiao has once again, with his mere presence, caused a mob scene as the Pacman enters and leaves the gym owned by Freddie Roach, who is in Puerto Rico making the big money training Oscar De La Hoya. . We are working on a Pacman appearance on ?Ring Talk Radio,? the longest running fight show in history for the coming weeks. In the prior paragraph, I mentioned President Ramos is presenting the wards. At the same time, Pacquiao, who is a great fighter, is running for Congress in the next couple of months. The Pacman fans at www.MannyPacquiao.ph voted on the matter. Over 90 % of those polled, do not want Manny involved in politics.
CAN WE BE HONEST FOR A MOMENT?
Manny Pacquiao has no business running for any political office. His own problems were created in part due to a lack of education, and they have manifested into a series of lawsuits among promoters, etc. Look, we have a C (average College grade) President here in the United States that has made more egregious errors than any president in modern times, if not history, this according to non-partisan presidential historians. Do we want somebody super smart holding these positions? I certainly do. And I think Manny getting booed in Cebu recently, this is a clear illustration of the 90 % of how the 24,000 fans and their negative stance on Manny and boxing.
MANNY’S EGO, HAS IT MADE HIM “POWER” DRUNK?
We are in a ?conflict” in Iraq that has lasted longer than both World War I and World War II. And while old chuckle nuts says, ?defeat is not an option,? the dyslexic resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. needs to realize he has it backwards, again. Because in reality, ?victory In Iraq is not a possibility” for the US because it’s a “civil” war being fought between two religous groups. They have been fighting one another for thousands (really) of years. And they aren’t about to stop in our lifetimes. So, let’s the GTFO now, before another American either gets hurt or killed trying to referee this fight.
