Kell Brook: “I’ve got power that can knock heavyweights out”

IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook is ready for a superfight showdown.

Last night in his native Sheffield, Brook, showing polish, precision and power, brutalized mandatory challenger Kevin Bizier in less than two rounds.

… It was the first time Bizier has been halted inside the distance in 30 fights.

With the win, Kell improved to 36-0 and insisted he’s ready to face another big name in a high-profile showdown.”

“I wanted to warm into it and have an all-out war for you guys but he couldn’t stand up to him,” he told Sky Sports.

“I hit him with a shot and that was all she wrote. I’ve got my mandatory out of the way and we’re going to get the big fight now.

“I’ve got power that can knock heavyweights out. That’s what we have to do now – make a big fight.

“I love that green [WBC] belt. Danny Garcia. I’d love [Timothy] Bradley. [Keith] Thurman. [Shawn] Porter. Any in that hat, I’ll fight. Let’s unify the division and in time, we will move up.”

The Sky Sports pundits agreed that Brook can mix with the best welterweights. Moreover, he’s exciting and is developing a large fanbase. There’s no excuse for a top fighter not to face him.

Will the winner of next week’s showdown between Manny Pacquiao and Tim Bradley look to travel to the UK to face Brook?

Win or lose against Canelo Alvarez in May, will Amir Khan succumb to the lure of facing Brook in what would be a massive all-UK superfight?
