Ghislain Maduma, the Congolese-Canadian sparring partner of Manny Pacquiao, admitted yesterday that he was befuddled by the cat-quick reflexes of the Filipino star after their four-round session in General Santos City.
?He (Pacquiao) is very unpredictable,? said the 31-year-old Maduma, who flew in from his homebase of Montreal over the weekend.
Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach was of course on hand to watch the proceedings and the Wild Card guru expressed satisfaction over the outcome but made it clear though that Pacquiao will have to start cutting down on things other than boxing training.
?I have to keep his focus now on boxing because he is still playing basketball,? said Roach, noting that Pacquiao continues to play hoops during the night.
