Filipino boxing icon and Mahindra player-coach Manny Pacquiao, against Rain or Shine on Sunday, breezed past Chris Tiu and was able to score the first-ever field goal of his PBA career.
From the opposing bench, there was another Filipino congressman that wasn?t too happy about that.
?Nagalit ako kasi naunahan ako,? Rain or Shine coach Yeng Guiao said in jest after his team?s win over Pacquiao?s squad in the SMART BRO PBA Philippine Cup.
Guiao said that the field goal his team gave up will probably be iconic and remembered by basketball fans.
?Congressman Pacquiao scored on us in this game and we?ll be posterized forever,? Guiao commented.
The fiery Rain or Shine mentor reminded that Pacquiao, who has been playing basketball when he cross-trains before his fights, is not a player that should be taken for granted.
?If you leave him open, he?ll make shots,? he said.
