Amnat Ruenroeng (16-0, 5KOs) made the fourth successful defense of his flyweight title after outpointing John Riel Casimero over 12 foul-filled rounds Saturday evening in Bangkok, Thailand.
Highlights were few and far between in what was one of the dirtiest title fights in recent memory. Ruenroeng was credited for a knockdown in round two, avoided what should have been a knockdown for Casimero in round three and got away with countless clinches and blatant takedowns before finally losing a point late in the 11th round.
The bout aired live on MONO 29 in Thailand.
