Not happy with the bag of lit firecrackers hurled in his direction by Floyd Mayweather the other day, Manny Pacquiao tossed some C4 over at Money’s crib in response.
In the latest example to underscore just how very badly we were all ripped off and bombed with boredom during their May 2nd recital, May and Pac continue to go toe to toe from afar like a couple of clowns. Instead of actually fighting and punching each other (you know, settling things in an afterschool-at-3o’clock-let’s-do-this kinda way after 5 years of grade school beef), Floyd and Manny punched out early, beat up the Brink’s truck, and got away with it.
Never-the-less for sh^t’s and giggles, Floyd, irritated by Manny’s shoulder injury claims while encouraging him to “stop lying”, went viral bitch-slapping Manny a couple of times in a hilarious video. I am absolutely certain that the way he hit that combat dummy, was far harder and cleaner than the way he hit the Filipino icon during their prom dance. Terribly upset by this development was Pacquiao, who got far tougher on Floyd than he was during their version of the electric slide.
“We should understand Floyd Mayweather Jr. because of his family background. He hailed from a family of ex-convicts and he himself is an ex-convict. We could not blame him because his action just showed the kind of family upbringing he had,” Pacquiao said, via PhilBoxing.com
He wasn’t done.
“It only reminds me of what he did to his ex-wife,” Pacquiao said. “I hope he would find time to reflect on his life and repent for the sins he committed in the past.”
Whoa.
We hoped Manny would have found a way to express his discontent for Mayweather a little more demonstratively, his ailing shoulder be damned. Maybe he could’ve recalled some inner Marcos Maidana, tackling Floyd ass and trying to bite him a few times. It would’ve undoubtedly made Floyd try to do more than merely slap Manny a few times while on the run.
With all of the explosions post their May 2nd debacle, perhaps it would have been more fitting if the fight took place on July 4th.
