No doubt Floyd Mayweather (about to Ving Rhames’ and pool ball stuff Andre Berto ala ‘Pulp Fiction’ on Sept. 12) can relate to the above verses from Jigga, as “Money” possesses more haters than the Benjamin’s in his bank account. The very biggest — by all accounts, just might be the reigning UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, who either wants to armbar the former “Pretty Boy Floyd” in the sack or break his arm in the cage (or even scarier folks- both).
Rousey has been feeling some kind of way since Floyd dropped over a year ago that he ‘didn’t know who he was’ in an ugly and sarcastic reference to Rousey, when he edged her for a “Best Fighter” ESPY award. After winning this year for the same award, Rousey made sure that Floyd knew who she was this time around, hammering the pound-for-pound world #1 with endless insults (including the now famous “I wonder how Floyd feels being beaten by a woman for once”, an obvious reference to his history of striking women) while suggesting she’d pummel him in a street or sanctioned UFC octagon fight.
ESPN (who jumped into the fray and had fun with TMZ’s report yesterday) had Floyd in its studio the day following the awards show, and worked hard to instigate even more beef between the two cat-fight lovers. Floyd nailed Rousey with his ‘call me when you can make over 300 million’ in one night (actually Floyd, its reported to have been around 225 million, but hey, you’re still not going to WalMart anytime soon buddy) as he held a mock phone to his ear.
Not to be outdone, Rousey (apparently of interest in the bootylicious porn world) claimed victory and kept the sparks flying in a feature released today by MSNBC, reaching below the belt to deliver these jewels in “seconds” as covered by TMZ Sports:
“I don’t know if you saw the Floyd thing, he said ‘if you make $300 million in a night you can give me a call.’ I actually did the math and given the numbers of my last fight I?m actually the highest paid UFC fighter, and I’m a woman. I think I actually make two to three times more than he does per second. When he learns to read and write, he can text me?. I?m just a little bit more efficient.”
Oh.
Anyway here’s the thing, the UFC doesn’t publicly reveal pay-per-view numbers, and Rousey’s official salary, bonus and Reebok sponsorship money for UFC 190 added up to about $230,000. But according to multiple reports, Rousey cleared a cool $5 million for spanking Cat Zingano once all undisclosed deals and PPV revenue was taken into consideration.
But the bottom line is these two have been pounding each other so much through the media, that it begs to ask the question of whether or not they’re not trading hard shots of a different variety on the low. Throwing away all levels of the absolute sublime, if Floyd Mayweather and Ronda Rousey actually ‘hooked up’ it would be a match made in hell — for Mayweather. In fact, we can’t figure out where Mayweather would spend more time F’n around with Rousey, for he’d almost certainly end up in the ICU and in jail.
