FIGHT WEEK DIARY: Our man in Vegas takes you behind the scenes on Mayweather v Pacquiao

The world?s media arrived in Sin City on Monday to cover the richest bout in this sport?s history.

Around 1,500 journalists have been accredited from the 15,000 that applied to witness Mayweather and Pacquiao go toe-to-toe.

A special tent has had to be set up outside the MGM Grand to accommodate the written and digital press, with broadcasters housed in the usual media rooms in the landmark Strip hotel.

But it is not only the press arriving in town, as the 200,000 expected fans have started descending into the fight capital.

Many will not be able to witness the fight even on TV as it will be only shown at certain locations on the Strip with tickets already sold out.

Tickets for the fight itself have soared again with some on ticket resale websites now for a whopping ?200,000. Most people would need a mortgage to pay such a staggering sum!

But this is the city were a big cheque book gets you everywhere after all.

Fans have also been snapping up the big-fight merchandise with everything and anything you could imagine plastered with the faces of Saturday night?s star men.

Mayweather calls himself ?Money? and he certainly makes it with ?Money Team? hats on sale for ?50 each.

Tuesday both fighters will meet the fans who have made it to Las Vegas with Pacquiao welcoming them to the Mandalay Bay and Mayweather arriving at the MGM Grand.
