At the outset, Mayweather met Pacq uiao at his hotel room in Miami after watching the ball game with the Miami Heat of the National Basketball Association (NBA) before he signed the contract for the fight.
Incidentally, the details of such meeting between Mayweather and Pacquiao were not disclosed by either camp.
The fight promoters just made the announcement of the fight days later after the said meeting.
