MARK MAGSAYO, one of the projected stars of Philippine boxing, will get his toughest test in Pinoy Pride 29 ? ?Fist of Fury? on Feb. 7 at the University of South Eastern Philippines (USEP). Magsayo, 18, will face former Pan Asian Boxing Association (PABA) super bantamweight champion Sukkasem Kietyongyuth.
Kietyongyuth has a respectable slate of 13-3 with eight knockouts. He has fought some respectable fighters, the likes of World Boxing Organization (WBO) No. 7 ranked featherweight Mark Gil Melligen and WBO No. 11 ranked lightweight Ik Yang.
Kietyongyuth fought twice last year and split his fights with a first-round stoppage loss to veteran Francis Miyeyusho and an eighth-round technical knockout of Yang.

Magsayo, on the other hand, has been very impressive. He won all five fights last year, with his latest a second-round stoppage over South Korean Moon Sun Jung.
Magsayo is 9-0 with seven knockouts.
A lot is at stake for Magsayo in this fight because ALA Promotions is planning to make the up-and-coming youngster the main draw of a small event in the US.
The main event of Pinoy Pride 29 features a title defense of WBO International light welterweight king Jason Pagara (34-2, 21 KOs) against Cesar Chavez (24-7, 12 KOs).
