Murad Muhammad, who once promoted fights for superstar Manny Pacquiao, is in danger of losing his license and may no longer be allowed to promote fights after his issued checks bounced in the Evander Holyfield-Fres Oquendo heavyweight fight.
A lawyer for Lou Dibella is reportedly working on permanently barring Muhammad from being a part of the sport due to his previous negative record in the business.
Muhammad had also been sued by Pacquiao after he allegedly took big chunks of the superstar’s purses, but an out-of-court settlement prevented a long-drawn court war. Muhammad paid Pacquiao an undisclosed amount just to get an extra-judicial understanding.
