A TWO-year-old boy drowned in a deep well Sunday while his parents and the whole neighborhood were busy watching the Pacquiao-Morales fight.
The victim was identified as John Alex Aguatani of Purok 14, Villafuerte Street in Calinan.

PO1 Melchor Alcala of the Calinan Police said the boy’s father, Alexander Baltazar, reported to their station that they discovered John’s body at about 2:30 p.m. inside the well.
It is estimated that the boy fell in around noontime just as the boxing fight between Filipino Manny Pacquiao and Mexican Erik Morales was being shown on television.
The boy’s father admitted to the police that they were not able to look after their child due to the Pacquiao fight last Sunday.
Alcala said the father went to them for record purposes only and that no charges will be filed against the parents for their negligence. (BOT)
