Floyd Mayweather Sr: ?Floyd?s not gonna run from no Pacquiao. Manny Pacquiao will get beat the hell up!?

In the history of the sport, there has never been a potential fight talked about more than Mayweather-Pacquiao, but even with all the discussion, we are no closer to it now than we were five years ago. In part 2 of my ?On The Ropes? special interview with Floyd Mayweather Sr, we discuss the future options for his son, and when he thinks we might see a Manny Pacquiao fight. Senior also speaks on what approach he thinks his son would take in a Pacquiao fight. Additionally Floyd talks about his new champion Mickey Bey, and also getting recognition for his efforts as a trainer. Here is what Floyd Mayweather Sr. had to say.

Jenna J: The biggest question right now is who the next opponent is gonna be for your son. What do you want to see?

Floyd Mayweather Sr: Well as I?ve mentioned to you before, Amir Khan would be a good fight. Being that he?s talking so much, running his mouth so much, and he once beat Maidana but they say he barely beat Maidana. I think Floyd will outsmart him, I don?t care what shape he gets in or whatever.

When I tell you about the fight, it will pretty much be the way I tell you. Those people don?t know nothing about what Floyd?s doing. Floyd?s working with his brain, not with his body. Amir Khan, he?ll be the next one I want to see get his butt whooped.

Jenna J: If it?s not Amir Khan, you know that everyone still wants to see the Pacquiao fight. Do you think if Pacquiao wins his next fight, that Floyd might consider that for May?

Floyd Mayweather Sr: I?m gonna be honest, as they usually say, you save the best for last. I ain?t saying that Pacquiao won?t get it, but he might not get it just this time around, maybe the next time.

Jenna J: So you think Floyd will fight someone like Khan in May but save his last fight for a Pacquiao fight?

Floyd Mayweather Sr: Maybe. That sounds pretty right.

Jenna J: Being that your son fought with a more hit and not get hit style in his last fight, do you think if he fights Pacquiao that he?ll fight the same way?

Floyd Mayweather Sr: I?m gonna tell you right now, Floyd is not gonna run from no Pacquiao, he?s not gonna run from no Pacquiao. Pacquiao will get beat the hell up, that?s what?s gonna happen. I?m just saying, he can be stronger but Floyd?s not gonna run from no Pacquiao. He might move every now and then a little bit, but overall it ain?t gonna be all this dancing and stuff with Pacquiao. No, I don?t see that.

Jenna J: So you think he would stay in there more and trade with Pacquiao?

Floyd Mayweather Jr: Well being that he?s smarter and slicker and more clever, I think that he would do all that and make Pacquiao miss everything pretty much. I think Pacquiao and Floyd is a one sided fight.

Jenna J: Pacquiao actually criticized your son in the press because Floyd said that some of the aspects of the All Access show were staged. Pacquiao made a comment to Floyd about that, saying that Floyd wasn?t an authentic person. What do you make of that?

Floyd Mayweather Sr: Look here, Pacquiao right now needs a payday and that?s the end of story. He needs a payday, that?s it. If he gets that payday, he has to do what he has to do, you have bills you have to pay. That?s where he?s stuck at right now.

Jenna J: Do you think he?s saying stuff in the press to try to get a fight with your son?

Floyd Mayweather Jr: He can get a fight with Floyd right now, yes. Ain?t nobody saying anything right now to get what they want, but guess what? At the end of the day, it ain?t that way, they gotta do what Floyd says right now. It?s Floyd?s way or no way, that?s just the way it is. Like Floyd would tell him, ?It?s my way or the highway, and no other way.? That would be my son?s words.

Jenna J: You think your son is gonna make Pacquiao wait a little longer before they make that fight?

Floyd Mayweather Jr: Let me tell you something, there?s no bullshit, there?s no bragging, but right now Floyd is the captain of boxing, period. There ain?t no doubt about it. Don?t get me wrong when say things, little Floyd is a bit aged, he?s reaching nearly the forty mark, he?s close. But I?m still here to tell you right now, he still has enough knowledge and stamina to beat all these bums.

Jenna J: When it comes to the future of your son, do you think he will fight beyond the two fights left in his contract? Do you think he will go on to be 50-0?

Floyd Mayweather Sr: I think that would be a mark that he?s gonna want to do but the way it is right now, I would tell him, ?You need to take a couple of easy fight because you?ve been fighting hard for a long time. You need to take a couple of easy fights, then fight the big guy.? That?s what I think.

Jenna J: I actually want to turn things to yourself because now you have another champion under your wing. You recently trained Mickey Bey and he took a title from Miguel Vasquez. How do you feel now that you have another champion?

Floyd Mayweather Sr: I feel great. I?ve been out here making these champions. In this gym right here, I?m the only one that I know that?s made champions. I don?t know nobody that?s made champions in that gym. Roger was training Floyd, but I made Floyd champion and Floyd has never lost after I made him champion. That was my work.

I?m just saying, nobody could beat Floyd anyway, that?s why he?s still where he?s at, because I trained him when he was a baby till where he is right now today. That?s why I?m here running things. I?ve been here for about fifteen years and every two years I?ve made a champion. I?ve made at least eight champions since I?ve been here. I fought with De La Hoya, Steve Forbes, Floyd, Chad Dawson, Mickey Bey, hey that?s all of them.

Jenna J: You?ve done great this year. Do you think this is finally the year where you get the recognition you deserve and you get the trainer of the year award?

Floyd Mayweather Sr: If they give it to me it?s okay, if they don?t it?s alright. I?ve made all these champions around me but they?re probably gonna give it to Freddie Roach but I don?t give a damn about that. I know what I?ve done and I know that Pacquiao can?t whoop Floyd, I know that. I?m telling you, it ain?t too much to say about the game, the game is damn near over.
