FIGHT fans in La Trinidad, Benguet are up for another world-class boxing match as AFS – Highland International Boxing Promotions is set to stage a world title bout featuring Argie Toquero and Takaya Kakutani.
Toquero and Kakutani battles in the main event dubbed La Trinidad Strawberry Punch World Championship Knock Out at the municipal gym for the vacant WBC Youth World super featherweight title on October 4.
The 21-year-old Toquero (7-3-1, 5 KO’s) who has knocked out four of his last five opponents aims at punishing the Japanese fighter but Kakutani (7-4, 6 KO’s), a former PBF light welterweight (140 lbs) champ who belongs to the popular Green Tsuda Boxing Club of Osaka, Japan, wants so badly the WBC Youth 130 lbs strap.

Former WBC Youth Intercontinental super flyweight champion Nathan Bolcio returns to the ring after 10 months of hiatus when he squares off against Danilo Pena in a featherweight match scheduled for eight rounds.
Bolcio, a fighting pride of Kapangan, Benguet will seek his 12th win after compiling 11 wins, four of which came via knock out including six loss and two draws while Pe?a is eyeing win number 27 and improve his record of 26 victories, that comes with 11 knock outs and 19 loss with three draws.
Another ring returnee is Dayer Gabutan, the former WBO Oriental bantamweight champion who defended the belt six times as he vows to return to winning ways when he takes on Mike Esapanos in another super featherweight clash.
Gabutan(18-4-3), who hails from Ambagiw, Besao, Mt. Province will try to break a three fight skid and a 10 month layoff against Espanosa who has a record of 27 victories, eight loss, and three draws.
Super featherweight Joneil Dapidran Pacquiao, cousin of boxing great and Sarangani representative Manny Pacquiao guns for his sixth wins in as many fights in his clash against Jeffrey Garcia in six rounds.
A light flyweight bout between Jeven Villcite and Benjie Bartolome is also set to draw the crowd in six rounds.
One time IBF Pan Pacific minimum weight title holder Matteo Handig, who last fought in August 2013 will also make his comeback against Julius Bala in six rounds.
Handig, who has a record of 13 wins including seven knock outs, and six loss will try to shake off the loss he incurred against Ganigan Lopez in Mexico last year for the vacant WBC United States (USNBC) minimum weight title.
