SEEDS OF DOUBT PLANTED AND GROWING IN THE DEEPEST RECESSES OF FLOYD?S?S FRAGILE PSYCHE DESPITE STEPHEN A. SMITH?S CHEERLEADING

PhilBoxing.com

Less than 72 hours from now Las Vegas and the whole world will begin the process of going back to normal. There will be a lot of happy and depressed people.

The celebrities, one percenters and uber-rich, recovering from their hang over will be dragging themselves to their limos and private jets to get ready for the next indulgence.

The regular Joes and Janes will be checking their bank accounts to make sure they did not get too caught up in the out of this world atmosphere and there is still money left for next month?s mortgage.

But the biggest reality to sink in would be the disappearance of the treasured ZERO.

Stephen A. Smith will be spotted trying to hide and looking more despondent than Floyd Mayweather, Jr. himself.

Floyd Jr is TBE no more. Zero is gone forever. 47-1 will become a painful reminder.

TMT becomes The Manny Team.

How can this happen? The Fight of the Century is supposed to be a walk in the park for Floyd Mayweather, Jr. Manny Pacquiao, the pride of the Philippines and the people?s champion is expected to have no prayer of a chance.

The Golden Boy Oscar de la Hoya has said it best. Mr. Mayweather was forced into the fight. He did not want to have anything to do with Manny Pacquiao. Floyd would not touch Manny even with a 100 foot pole.

Money was backed into a corner where he cannot get out. Up to the very last minute, he tried. Floyd saw a glimmer of hope in Miami when he misjudged Pacquiao?s disposition.

In the world of super elite athletes, their extraordinary physical abilities and natural God given gifts are usually equal. The difference between winning and losing is one athlete?s superior mental toughness and fortitude. Whenever Michael Jordan takes a game winning shot, there is no doubt in his mind that the ball is going in the basket. If may go astray but without hesitation he would will the ball in.

Floyd has lost that edge. From fight 1 to 47, he knew even before the first punch is thrown that he is going to win. Not an iota of uncertainty has crept even in a single strand of synapse in his brain. But not this time. Manny has spooked Money. One can go back to the sports archives. Even Stevie Wonder can see it.

Nobody abandons a strategy which works over the years and prepare differently for the biggest fight of your life. Floyd did. He doubted himself.

Why is Floyd being so unlike Floyd? He claims that he has matured and he does not need to be an outrageous buffoon during pre-fight activities just like how he acted in every single high profile fight especially during the Dela Hoya ? Mayweather fight.

Are we really seeing a changed man or nerves have gotten into the Money man?

Body language speaks so much louder than words.

Floyd Jr is going down in 5, TKO in 9.
