On Saturday Night Michael "prettyboy" Zerafa leaves Melbourne with Promoter Peter Maniatis and trainer Joe Nader to Moscow Russia.
Zerafa who has a 15-0 undefeated record goes into battle for the WBO World Youth title against WBC ranked No. 15 Middleweight Arif Magomedov who is also unbeaten in 12 bouts on the Alexander Povetkin vs Carlos Takam undercard on Friday October 24th in Moscow.
"Michael's preparation has been spot on for this fight," Zerafa's manager Peter Maniatis informed Philboxing. "He has sparred with Sam Soliman early in the lead up and finish his prep by sparring Zac Dunn & Jake Carr. He has done the work and ready for the challenge that has been put in front of him," added Maniatis.
Team Zerafa will travel from Melbourne to Moscow on a 22-hour journey and expect a drastic change in weather when they land on Moscow on a minus 1 degree freezing weather.
"Zerafa has 6 days to settle into the Moscow conditions before his fight. This will be the biggest challenge he has faced so far but we expect Michael to lift as the team believed he belongs at this level," Maniatis concluded.
