NBA -- Warriors spank Kings, 102-69

SAN FRANCISCO -- The Golden State Warriors raced to 25-14 lead after one quarter and used it as a springboard to an easy 102-69 victory over the Sacramento Kings at the Oracle Arena in downtown Oakland, California.

Klay Thompson notched 21 points while Harrison Barnes chipped in 16 as the Warriors improved to 47-29 Friday night. Veteran Jermaine O'Neal and Steph Curry each had 13 points with O'Neal adding nine boards.

The Warriors stayed in 6th place in the Western Conference but they're just 1 1/2 games behind the 49-28 Portland Trail Blazers who are in 5th place.

"We'll win more games that we did last year, I got a strong feeling about that," Warriors head coach Mark Jackson told NBA.com

DeMarcus Cousins led Sacramento with 19 and 11 boards and Rudy Gay had 10 but the Kings made only 25 of 78 field goals for a woeful 32.1 percent. They also missed 9-of10 attempts from 3-point range. (RSM)

Sacramento Kings star DeMarcus Cousins was a picture of discontent Friday night as the Warriors beat scored a lopsided 102-69 victory at the Oracle Arena.
